Catch Iron Bundle in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet from December 22nd to 24th

Iron Bundle with the Mightiest Mark
Just in time for Christmas, the seasonally appropriate Paradox Pokémon Iron Bundle will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet later this week, between December 22nd at 00:00 (UTC), and December 24th at 23:59 (UTC).

Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles contain much stronger Pokémon than those appearing in ordinary Tera Raid Battles, and give out better rewards.

This event's Iron Bundle has the Ice Tera Type, and can only be caught once per save data. This special Iron Bundle is for now only available through this event, but may appear again in other events, or be encountered in different ways in the future.

Blissey in 5-star Tera Raids

Blissey will also be making another return to 5-star Tera Raid Battles during this event. As with its previous appearance, Blissey will be available in a wide array of Tera Types, including rare Tera Types for this species. Defeating Blissey will award a variety of items, including Tera Shards and bonus Exp. Candies. Occasionally, Trainers may be able to encounter a Blissey which awards a large amount of additional Tera Shards from different Tera Types when defeated.

To encounter Iron Bundle Pokémon in Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles, or Blissey in regular Tera Raid Battles, players will need to download the latest Poké Portal News. If players have connected their Nintendo Switch system to the internet while playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, this will happen automatically. Players can also manually download the Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, and then selecting Mystery Gift, and then Check Poké Portal News. After that, players will be able to start a Tera Raid Battle simply by walking up to and interacting with an appropriate Tera Crystal in-game. In the overworld, the Tera Crystals associated with these raids can be differentiated from other Tera Raid crystals by their aura, which is mostly clearly visible when looking at crystals on the map. For Iron Bundle, players will need to have first completed certain postgame events to be able to start the Black Crystal Tera Raid Battle by interacting with a Black Tera Crystal in-game. In the overworld, the Black Tera Crystals associated with these raids can be differentiated from other Tera Raid crystals by their aura and black sheen, both of which are clearly visible when looking at crystals on the map. Players who haven't yet completed the required postgame events can still participate in these Black Tera Raid Battles, but only by joining with other Trainers in multiplayer, such as by using a Link Code.

A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online, however players will still be able to challenge these Tera Raid Battles solo (supported by AI), or with other Trainers in local play without a membership.
