As part of
the Day 1 live stream for this weekend's Pokémon Champions League tournament in Kyoto, Pokémon TCG fans have received their first official look at the upcoming
Wild Force and
Cyber Judge expansions for the
Pokémon Trading Card Game, scheduled for release in Japan on January 26th, 2024. This expansion will see the return of
ACE SPEC cards, as first announced earlier this year
during the Pokémon World Championships Closing Ceremony. On the same day as this set releases, the Standard format will also be receiving its next rotation in Japan, after which cards will need to have an
F Regulation mark or later to be used in Standard format tournaments.
Only two new cards were revealed in this stream, both of which are new ACE SPEC cards. Translations and images for these cards can be found in the table at the bottom of this article. Additional cards from this set are expected to be released tomorrow, December 24th at the close of the Day 2 stream at roughly 3:00pm (JST).
Shortly after the end of the live stream, an additional video was uploaded to the
Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese YouTube channel, discussing more about the upcoming Extra Battle Day (エクストラバトルの日) being held in Japan on January 1st. This video highlighted a new
Raihan promotional card, featuring new artwork of the popular Gym Leader from Galar, that would be distributed for this event. Also discussed were several other cards that will be included in the Extra Battle Day promotional pack, including
Dragonite EX,
Sky Field, and
Garbodor. Each of the reprinted cards from this pack will have a special "Extra Battle Day" logo on the front of the card, but otherwise retain the same artwork as their original print.
