Don't forget to redeem the codes SURPRISE23 and MERRYXMAS in Pokémon UNITE to receive your free Unite License and Meowscarada Platinum Emblem

In a bit of a holiday treat to all players, Pokémon UNITE has recently made a pair of redemption codes available, giving giving all players the opportunity to redeem one free Unite License and a Meowscarada Platinum Boost Emblem using the codes SURPRISE23 and MERRYXMAS. SURPRISE23 will expire on December 31st, at 10:59pm (PST), so don't delay!

MERRYXMAS will be able to be redeemed right through to January 22nd, 2024, at 10:59pm (PST). Platinum Boost Emblem: Meowscarada is a Green/Black-type Emblem that awards +35 Movement Speed in return for -50 Health. Players can also still claim the related GETSPRIGATITO and GETFLORAGATO codes, awarding the corrosponding Platinum Boost Emblems for those Pokémon, until January 5th and January 12th respectively.

To redeem all of these codes, players first need to click on the Events icon, then Daily Events. In the menu that loads up, players should then scroll down all the way to select Gift Exchange, read the conditions, and click "Exchange" to be redirected for a page in which a code can be entered. After confirming the code, and following a short time delay, the reward will be sent to players' mail menu in-game.

By opening the Unite License Selection Box received from the SURPRISE23 code from the Item Box, players may select from a pool of 20 Unite Licenses. The pool consists of the following Pokémon:

• Charizard
• Blastoise
• Pikachu
• Clefable
• Dodrio
• Snorlax
• Gardevoir
• Azumarill
• Absol
• Greninja
• Garchomp
• Zoroark
• Sableye
• Lucario
• Talonflame
• Greedent
• Cinderace
• Zeraora
• Cramorant

All of the Unite Licenses available though this offer are of Pokemon that were released prior to 2023, and some of these Licenses are available through new player events, so very few players will be selecting from the full roster of 20. Players cannot select a Unite License that they already have. If a player does not want any of the available Unite Licenses, or in the event that they already have all of the available options, they can instead opt to receive 1000 Aeos Coins.

While the pool of available Licenses is limited to a set of 20 mostly older Pokemon, this is still a welcome holiday treat. Dodrio and Zoroark are normally some of UNITE's most expensive Unite Licenses, costing 14000 Aeos Coins each (just shy of the maximum of 15000 Aeos Coins), but can be obtained for zero Aeos Coins through this offer. The next tier down includes Clefable and Sableye, which cost 12000 Aeos Coins when purchased normally. This event allows for obtaining these pricey characters instantly instead of collecting Aeos Coins over weeks of playtime.
