The Egg Pokémon Chansey will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's next Community Day on February 4th

Niantic has confirmed that the Egg Pokémon, Chansey will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's Community Day for February 2024. During this event, Chansey will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with its Shiny variant. The event will be held on February 4th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.

Immediately following the scheduled end of the Community Day, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm local time, unique Four-Star Raids against Chansey will take place. When Trainers defeat the Chansey Raid Boss, Chansey will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Trainers can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used. Chansey appearing as a result of these raids will have the same odds of appearing as Shiny as during the main Community Day event.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active throughout the event:

• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
• 1/4 Hatch Distance for Eggs placed in Incubators during the event
• Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Trainers can receive an in-game surprise by taking a few snapshots during Community Day
• One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day (active from 2:00pm to 10:00pm)
• Trades will require 50% less Stardust (active from 2:00pm to 10:00pm)
• Happiny will hatch more frequently from 2km eggs, and have the same odds of appearing as Shiny as Chansey appearing during the Community Day event (active from 2:00pm to 10:00pm)

Trainers will be able to get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop. Additionally, PokéStop Showcases will also be running throughout the event period at different PokéStops.

Chansey that are evolved into Blissey during the Community Day event, or within five hours after it concludes while the Bonus Raid Battles are running, will learn the Charged Attack Wild Charge. In Trainer Battles, this move has 100 power, and is guaranteed to descrease the user's defense. In Gyms and raids, the move has 90 power.

Field and Timed Research
A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story will be available for purchase at US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Community Day-themed Field Research and Timed Research will also be available. Amongst other rewards, players completing the Field Research will be able to earn additional encounters with Chansey, Stardust, and Great Balls.

Event Bundles in the in-game shop and Web Store
Two different bundles will be available from the in-game shop during this event. The first bundle, which costs 1,350 PokéCoins, includes 50 Ultra Balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM, and 5 Lucky Eggs. The second bundle, costing 480 PokéCoins, includes 30 Ultra Balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators, and 1 Lure Module.

Additionally, the Pokémon GO Web Store will be offering its own special bundle for $US9.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This bundle includes 120 Ultra Balls, 15 Silver Pinap Berries, 6 Basic Incubators, and 1 Incense.
