Pokémon Sleep might be designed to help people get better sleep, but players certainly aren't going to be getting any rest from events in the near future. Hot on the heals of the Holiday 2023 — Double Dream Shard Research event that's currently running in-game, a New Year 2024 event will begin starting Monday January 1st, giving increased Sleep EXP to player's Pokémon, as well as bonus sleep points. Pokémon Sleep has also received an update this week to Version 1.0.16, which applies unspecified minor bugfixes to the game.

Project VOLTAGE, the special art and music collaboration project between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, will soon be releasing its final music video for 2023, with the music video for JUVENILE / 初音ミク feat. じん (JUVENILE / Hatsune Miku featuring Jin) set to premiere on Jin's official YouTube channel this Friday, December 22nd, at 6:30pm (JST) / 9:30am (UTC) / 1:30am (PST).

The latest Pasio Special Stadium event has now launched in Pokémon Masters EX, featuring battles against Champion Leaf. In this event, which will run until January 3rd, 2024, at 9:59pm (PST), players will challenge a team comprised of Flint, Malva, Shauntal, and Olivia, lead by Champion Leaf from the 4 year anniversary celebrations earlier this year. All five of these trainers share the same Water-type weakness. Updates have also been made to scoring for the Pasio Special Stadium.

Following on from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's update to Version 3.0.0 last week alongside the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Mask, a Poké Portal News update has issued a rare acknowledgement for two bugs reported by players, along with a statement clarifying how these issues will be addressed.

Christmas is right around the corner, and in celebration, Pokémon Masters EX will be seeing a rerun of last year's Shine a Gentle Light Story Event. A collection of Seasonal Sync Pairs from the last 4 years are also making their return in a set of Seasonal Scouts.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are celebrating the holiday season and the new year with a selection of Mass Outbreaks and Tera Raids over the next two weeks.

Just in time for Christmas, the seasonally appropriate Paradox Pokémon Iron Bundle will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet later this week, between December 22nd at 00:00 (UTC), and December 24th at 23:59 (UTC).

This week's episode of Pokémon Horizons treated us to a beatdown, with Amethio getting totally wiped by Rayquaza, in humiliating fashion. Silly Amethio, did you really think you have the power to defeat a legendary? I do wonder why Rayquaza showed up though. It seemed like he wasn’t as chummy towards Terapagos as the other Hero Pokémon were. Does it not like Terapagos for some reason?

A new Bug-Type Gear Event has just landed in Pokémon Masters EX. This co-op battles event, which allows players to obtain 3★ Bug-Type Gear, will be available until December 29th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Niantic earlier this week released details for two events to be held next weekend in Pokémon GO. The Winter Wonderland event, running from December 23rd at 10:00am to December 24th at 8:00pm local time; and the final Raid Day event of the year, featuring the Pokémon GO debut of the Big Horn Pokémon Wyrdeer, which will be held on December 23rd, running from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.

Niantic this week have announced the details of this year's Winter Holiday events in Pokémon GO. In part 1, which will run from December 18th, at 10:00am to December 25th, at 10:00am local time, Cetoddle, Cetitan, Pikachu wearing holiday attire, and Raichu wearing holiday attire will eacj be making their Pokémon GO debut. Part 2, which runs from the end of Part 1 through until December 31st, at 8:00pm local time, will see the debut of Psyduck wearing holiday attire, Golduck wearing holiday attire, and Shiny Vanillite.

Pokémon Sleep's fifth Good Sleep Day event will run from Tuesday December 26th through to Thursday December 28th. Good Sleep Day events are being held in Pokémon Sleep once every lunar month, starting the day before the full moon, and ending the day after. As usual, a Good Sleep Day Bundle will be available from the in-game shop alongside this event.

The song's title translates in English roughly as Gotchu!. The music video for the song will premiere this Friday, December 15th, at 6:30pm (JST) / 9:30am (UTC) / 1:30am (PST).

Continuing on from the recent launch of the new Focus on the Shining Shot! Story Event in Pokémon Masters EX, the new holiday-themed 5★ sync pair Sycamore & Gogoat are making their debut today in a set of Seasonal Scouts. These scouts will be available until December 29th, at 9:59pm (PST).

Pokémon Sleep has received an update today to Version 1.0.15. This new update adds a number of new features to the game, including a variety of changes designed to help players earn additional candy to level and evolve their Pokémon, along with an assortment of adjustments to improve the general gameplay experience.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet received an update to Version 3.0.0 today alongside the release of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Mask. In addition to updates associated with the addition of the new DLC, this update makes a few small additional changes, adjusting the difficulty of the Ogre Oustin' minigame introduced in The Teal Mask, and fixing a small selection of bugs.

The holiday season is in full swing in Pokémon Café ReMix. Players can now find many Rowlet at their café, with the chance to find a Shiny Rowlet! A new Slow Cooking event starting later this week will also give players the opportunity to recruit Calyrex. The Version 4.4.0 update has also gone live this week, adding a new event mode, amongst other changes.

In celebration of the recent release of Meowscarada in Pokémon UNITE, players can currently reward a gift code in game to receive a free Sprigatito Platinum Boost Emblem. The version 1.13.1.3 patch has also been released, bringing balancing changes for Meowscarada.

Pokémon Sleep will enter a maintenance period this week on Thursday December 14th, ahead of a planned update of the software to Version 1.0.15. This maintenance period is expected to last for roughly 4 and a half hours, from 1:00am until 5:30am (UTC). This update will implement several features and adjustments from the list released by the developers last week.
